Welcome to Melbourne Sportsbike Riders home page.

The MSR (formerly Motorcycle Sports Touring Club of Victoria) was established in 1955 and currently has a membership of approximately 70 people. It is an all makes club for motorcycle owners and pillion passengers wishing to enjoy the many interesting and varied roads and sights of Victoria in the company of other motorcycling enthusiasts.

What makes our club different? It:

rides every Sunday,
is very well organised,
has a ride itinerary printed months in advance,
produces a monthly magazine,
has a password protected members area, and
has a monthly social sip.

In more detail...

The Club rides every Sunday, rain hail or shine. It is very well organised with leaders, rear riders, and a tried and proven corner marking system. Very rarely does anyone get lost!

An itinerary is planned and published 3 to 4 months ahead and is available on easy managed card format or via the web.

There is a monthly magazine containing write ups of the previous month's rides, expanded itinerary information, and a host of other motorcycle related information. Magazines are available at the quarterly meeting, an informal get together at our Club Hall , or at our monthly Social Sips held at a Marks Pizza Place, corner of Grattan and Swanston sts, Carlton. The Magazine is posted to member's homes and electronic copies of past editions are available at this site in the password protected Members section.

We have a "secret members portal" on this site, with photos, old magazines, old itineraries, membership renewal forms, and a holiday planner for those far off events that need to be planned for now!

After attending three functions you may elect to join us and will need to fill out a Membership Form. Full membership for 12 months is $40 and Associate membership (non-riders) is $20. The membership year runs from July to June and is pro-rata in the first year. Preferred method of payment is direct credit. Click here for bank details.

The MSR has great depth and tradition. It has a bias towards sportsbike riding, though all tastes are catered for on the varied itinerary. It is a riders' club. Give us a try!
